Insisting on doing everything yourself is like leaving the shower running all day long.

Stop pouring your valuable time and money down the drain.

If you haven’t found yours yet, I’d suggest you put finding your genius zone at the top of your to-do list, because discovering this is the key to achieving business success.

We all have something we’re seriously good at. It’s also the thing YOU can do with ease that makes others wonder how.

So, I’ll ask you this…

Why are you wasting your time working outside of your genius zone?

Sure, there’ll always be tasks that we as business owners have to do that aren’t super enjoyable. But there are also a lot of tasks you can hire others to do for you.

Outsourcing isn’t weak. It’s smart.

Are you working longer hours than ever, but getting less and less done?

Hand off the fluff and day-to-day tasks to other capable and carefully selected individuals.

The way I see it, you’ve got two choices

You can either build your skyscraper of a profitable lifestyle business with a team of talented, skilled people all working at top speed and efficiency…

OR, you can labour away on your own, brick by brick, day by day, year after year…

You’d pick the first option, wouldn’t you?

It all comes down to working smarter, not harder.

Think how much you smash through when you’re focused and well and truly in the zone…

Get double, triple or a hundred times more of that intense productivity in your business by hiring others to work in their genius zones FOR YOU.

  1. Self Awareness

Because we’re friends, I’ve gotta serve up some real talk right now.

It’s time to stop thinking you’re great at/can/have to do everything.

I’m not saying you aren’t an awesome and highly capable person.

I know you are, especially at that one thing no one else can do quite like you.

What I’m saying is that being really honest about your strengths and weaknesses is super important to the success your business.

There is absolutely 100% no shame whatsoever in admitting you need a hand in an area or two, or three…

It’s actually the strong, smart thing to do.

The strongest, most brilliant and successful female entrepreneurs I know (and I’ve come across a fair few) all recognise they can’t be everything to everyone all the time.

It’s a familiar struggle, right?

The best thing you can do for yourself, your business and your loved ones is doing what you were created to do.

Let others give you a hand with the rest.

  1. Awareness in your business

A big part of outsourcing beyond your genius zone is hiring the right people.

Your business is like your child. You wouldn’t let any old tom, dick or harry babysit.

Makes sense, doesn’t it?

Before hiring anyone, take some time to clearly define what it is you need from a team member, what their responsibilities would be, and what kind of person will fit in with your business.

Once you’ve got that all cleared up, go out and snap up some talent.

Good people are always in high demand, so don’t waste time umming and ahhing.

That said, if you bring someone on board only to find they’re weighing the ship down, they’ve got to walk the plank… sooner rather than later.

Firing someone who isn’t right for your business and needs isn’t harsh, it’s necessary.

Know what (or who) works, and what doesn’t.

You’ll save yourself and others a lot of time.


It took me a while to understand just how powerful outsourcing beyond your genius zone is. I know how hard it can be to give up some control and trust others with your business.

I like to look at it as having ultimate control. You’re the captain – now’s the time to let someone else hoist the sails and scrub the deck.
